Firemen Rescue
    Escaped Bear

BRAVE Hollywood smoke eaters are tilting their noses just a little higher today when they pass brother firemen from other stations--for they rescued a real, live bear and revived him after he had knocked himself unconscious.

In Hollywood cemetery, a bear escaped from his cage and climbed a tree.  The owner sent a rush call for firemen and they battled to get Bruin down.  But a fireman threw a lasso, and the bear slipped, neatly hanging himself in the crotch of a tree.

The firemen climbed up, brought the bear down and applied a pulmotor to his lengthy snout.  The results were excellent and the patient gurgled appreciative noises when he was revived.
