Engine Company No. 21

Engine Company 21 replaced its horse drawn hose wagon and horse drawn pump with a motorized hose wagon, (shown on the left) and a motorized pumping apparatus (shown in the two photographs below). This combination of two apparatus used by an Engine Company was known as a "Two-Piece Engine Company" and worked together in line laying operations, the Pump spotting to the hydrant and the Wagon laying a supply line from the Pump to the fire.
