CHARGES MADE AGAINST
FIRE CAPTAIN QUEIROLO.
__
Fire Commission Inquires Into Delay
in Making Hydrant Connections.
__

Captain Stephen Queirolo of engine company No. 5 was given a hearing by the fire commission yesterday on the charge of passing a hydrant while on the way to a fire Wednesday night and connecting with a hydrant a block further distant from the burning structure losing valuable time.  Queirolo explained he had difficulty in locating a connection but the commission pointed out that the fire was only three blocks for the fire house and the sky was illuminated by flames.  Queirolo offended similarly once before.  The commission will report its decision next Friday.
