Los Angeles City No. 2 battled its first major fire aboard the fully loaded lumber schooner Sierra at the E. K. Lumber Company wharf in San Pedro on March 3, 1926.
This reverse angle photo shows the Sierra fire from the dock perspective.  Note the land companies drafting from the ocean to supply firefighting operations.  Also note Fire Boat 2 abeam of the Sierra.
