Engine  5 closed 1913, reinstated 1924.
Engine  7 closed 1916, reinstated 1924.
Engine 18 closed 1916, reinstated 1920.

--Amoskeag records and early Engine Co. Inventories show that all four Amoskeags
   were 2nd Class engines though later inventories show three 3rd's and one 2nd.

--SHOP No.23 was held in reserve until Engine Co.23 was put into service on   10-1-10.

NOTES ON TRACTORS:
Tractors replacing horses were not assigned Shop Numbers of their own.  They assumed the number of the apparatus to which they were attached. The general use of Shop Numbers did not appear to mid-1914.
