RULE 11. SECTION 1. The telephones in the houses shall not be used by any person not a member of the Department, nor by any member or employee for any other business than that connected with the Department. SEC. 2. Thorough ventilation should be maintained in the houses, avoiding draughts as much as possible. SEC. 3. Houses should be thoroughly washed and scrubbed at least once a month, weather permitting. SEC. 4. A house watch shall be maintained in all houses of the Department between the hours of 6.00 A.M. and 8 P.M., and during the entire 24 hours in such houses as the Chief Engineer may order. SEC. 5. It shall be the duty of the man on watch to be on the lookout for alarms, to see that the apparatus, horses, harness and everything appertaining thereto is in good order and ready for immediate service. That no disturbances are allowed in or about the house, and report any and all violations of these Rules and Regulations in or about the house to the commanding officer of the company. SEC. 6. In no case shall the man on watch leave the apparatus floor until relived,
except in case of an alarm; nor shall be doze or sleep while on watch. |
