RULE 10.
HOSEMEN AND LADDERMEN.

SECTION 1. Hosemen and laddermen shall respond to all alarms prescribed to their respective companies, and shall conform to and promptly and cheerfully obey all orders of the superior officers and the Rules and Regulations of the Department.

SEC. 4. A house watch shall be maintained in all houses of the Department between the hours of 6.00 A.M. and 8 P.M., and during the entire 24 hours in such houses as the Chief Engineer may order.

SEC. 5. It shall be the duty of the man on watch to be on the lookout for alarms, to see that the apparatus, horses, harness and everything appertaining thereto is in good order and ready for immediate service. That no disturbances are allowed in or about the house, and report any and all violations of these Rules and Regulations in or about the house to the commanding officer of the company.

SEC. 6. In no case shall the man on watch leave the apparatus floor until relived, except in case of an alarm; nor shall be doze or sleep while on watch.
